Saturday August 18 the Little Sisters of the Poor Home at 1028 Benton Ave. in Brighton Heights will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Tickets will be sold at the door: $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for senior citizens and $5.00 for children. Take out is available. Salad, bread, beverages and desserts are included as part of the meal. What: The Millionaire Scavenger Hunt
When: 1-3 p.m.
Where: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Allegheny Branch.
Ever wonder how the wealthy live? Join CLP for a scavenger hunt through the Northside on Saturday, August 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Follow the clues and discover a wealth of Northside history
Participants will begin and end the hunt at the library. The Millionaire Scavenger Hunt is open to adults and families. Tackle the hunt alone or team up with friends and family for prizes, refreshments and surprises. Have fun and learn too! Registration is required. Deadline to register is Saturday, August 11. What: Jehru M. Donaldson Gathering of Lost Loved Ones for Peace
When: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: West Park near the Aviary
Local anti-violence group P.R.O.M.I.S.E. will hold its annual Jehru M. Donaldson Gathering of Lost Loved Ones for Peace, which will feature free food and drinks, entertainment, face painting, children’s activities and guest speakers that will speak to ending street violence and promote peace, respect, love and unity.
