Public hearings scheduled for 2015 Capital Budget

The city of Pittsburgh will hold two public hearings regarding the 2015 Capital Budget, according to a press release.

Interested citizens, community organizations and the business community are encouraged to attend. These public hearings allow Pittsburghers to voice their opinion, according to the release.

Funds from the Capital Budget are used to build or renovate city assets like bridges, roads, parks and buildings. They also support long-lasting programs that strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life.

Both hearings will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held on the following dates at two different locations:

Friday, Sept. 19 at the Ammon Recreation Center on 2217 Bedford Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219

Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Morningside Senior Center on 6944 President Way, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15206.
