Investors and community members gathered at 1207 Columbus Ave. yesterday for an open house to celebrate the completion of Phase Two of the Columbus Square housing development.
Manchester’s Columbus Square project is one of the most ambitious and successful housing developments on the Northside.
The 31-home development is done in collaboration with Manchester Citizen’s Corporation and Fourth River Development and looks to offer the best of both city and suburban living.
It is funded by the state, PNC bank, the Northside Community Development Fund and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
The first phase of Columbus Square included five new homes and was completed in 2012. The second included an additional four, which were completed this summer.
Developers at Fourth River are looking forward to the start of the third phase.
“We continue to have daily inquiries and are anxiously awaiting the start of phase 3,” said Fourth River Development’s Sally Flinn.
