First National Bank Hires Director of Interest Rate Sales and Marketing

First National Bank, headquartered on the North Shore, announced the hiring of Ahmed El Nokali as Senior Vice President, Director of Interest Rate Sales and Marketing, Dec. 21.

In a newly created role at FNB, El Nokali will provide consultation for institutional clients and prospects to develop interest rate hedging solutions tailored to their unique organizational needs. He will work closely with departments across the bank, including Commercial Banking, Treasury Management and Insurance, to ensure clients have the necessary products in place to create a fully-integrated risk management framework.

“At FNB, we believe our clients are best served through a holistic approach to the banking relationship. With Ahmed on board, we round out an already robust commercial banking product set with sophisticated interest rate hedging capabilities,” Robert Moorehead, Chief Wholesale Banking Officer for FNB, said in a statement. “His extensive experience in capital markets, both domestically and internationally, puts him in an excellent position to understand and meet client needs in a variety of industries.”

According to El Nokali, he was attracted to FNB’s momentum and forward-thinking approach.

“FNB has a reputation as a company that is always looking for the right ways to grow and evolve,” El Nokali said in a statement. “This is an exciting opportunity to be part of that development through the introduction of a high-end financial service that is typically only available at much larger institutions.”

El Nokali joins FNB with more than 13 years of financial services experience, most recently with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for providing interest-rate hedging solutions for corporate clients.

A native of Pittsburgh, El Nokali earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
