By NSC Staff

The fifth annual “Cookout in the Park with Healthcare Options” will be held this Saturday, September 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Cedar Park in the Northside. The cookout is hosted by the Community College of Allegheny County’s (CCAC) Allegheny Campus Student Nurses’ Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) Club and aims to provide healthcare services to people in need.

Health booth stations at the event will include HIV and pregnancy testing, blood pressure and diabetes screenings and access to free information about healthcare. Free haircuts will be available courtesy of Salon Magic and picnic lunches are provided for all participants.

Games for children and giveaways of toiletries, clothing, backpacks and school supplies are also planned. Over 250 people are expected to attend.

Cedar Park is located across the street from the Light of Life Mission at 10 East North Avenue.
