This weekend, welcome the summer season with an outdoor movie, the annual Northside Pet Walk, house tours in Allegheny West and Observatory Hill, and live music at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden.

Thursday, June 21

Summer Solstice Celebration at Riverview Park

Bring a mat or folding chair to Riverview Park and join this year’s Summer Solstice Celebration from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Hosted by Raion Zou Holistic Healing, LLC and Debbie’s Heavenly Scents, this “shamanic healing ceremony” is a great way to ring in the summer season. Friday, June 22

Northside Farmer’s Market

The weekly event returns from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in East Allegheny Commons Park. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.

Allegheny West Wine & Garden Tour

Starting on Friday night from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., enjoy wine and appetizers and adventure through the Allegheny West Historic District. For more details and ticket information, check out the website.

Karaoke at Scratch Food & Beverage

Scratch F&B in Troy Hill hosts their weekly Friday night karaoke. The event starts at 9 p.m. For more information, visit their Facebook page.

Saturday, June 23

Northside Pet Walk 2018

Meet at Wagsburgh pet store and join this annual family and pet friendly walk from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Check out the Facebook event page for both more information and a rain date in case of inclement weather.

Cinema in the Park at Riverview Park

Bring your own popcorn and watch the 2011 flick The Adventures of Tin Tin outside at Riverview Park. Movies begin at dusk. Events may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Mash Bill Live Music

Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden in the Northside will host a FREE live music event with Brad Yoder starting at 7 PM. The evening includes cocktails, food from Blue Sparrow, and a chill outdoor whiskey garden. The Barrelhouse is open from 5-10PM. Visit the Facebook event page for more information.

Observatory Hill Tour of Homes & Outdoor Spaces

From 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., stroll through historic Observatory Hill, meet local artists, hear live music, and sample craft beers from local breweries. For more details and to purchase tickets, check out the Observatory Hill website.

35th Birthday Celebration at the Children’s Museum

Free museum admission for the day is just the beginning: Enjoy free noisemakers and Rita’s Italian Ice, a birthday parade, an electric vehicle car show, and outdoor musical entertainment from local bands. Check out the website for more details and a full schedule of events.

Sahaja Meditation at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Allegheny
