July newsletter from Councilwoman Darlene Harris

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day celebration at the beginning of the month! Summer is roadwork season, so please be careful driving, and keep an eye out for roadwork crews.

Also, I would like to remind everyone to check on their elderly neighbors. The summer heat can be dangerous for everyone from adults to pets, and staying hydrated is key.

On the Northside, the spray parks are open and pool tags can be purchased for a day or for the season. On hot summer days like those we had in June, spray parks are the perfect way to entertain kids! The hours and addresses for each spray park can be found at pittsburghpa.gov.

Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I can be reached at darlene.harris@pittsburghpa.gov or 412-255-2135. Have a safe and wonderful summer!
