Upcoming information sessions for Neighbor-to-Neighbor grants

The first information session for The Sprout Fund’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grant will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 at Artist Image Resource, 518 Foreland St.

Applications for the 2017 Neighbor-to-Neighbor grants are due by 5 p.m. on June 9, July 7, and August 4. Decisions are typically announced by the end of each month. Applicants must live or work on the Northside and the funded projects, up to $1,000, must take place in the the 18 neighborhoods.

The upcoming information sessions are as follows:

  • Thursday, May 18 @ 5:30pm: Artist Image Resource (AIR) (518 Foreland St. 15212) Register to attend
  • Friday, May 26 @ 8:30am: Chateau Cafe and Cakery (1501 Preble Ave. Chateau 15233) Register to attend
  • Friday, June 2 @ 8:30am: Pear & the Pickle (1800 Rialto St. Troy Hill 15212) Register to attend
  • Friday, June 16 @ 12:00 noon: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Woods Run (1201 Woods Run Ave. 15212) Register to attend
  • Thursday, July 6 @ 5:30pm: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Allegheny (1230 Federal St. 15212) Register to attend
  • Friday, June 9 (deadline day #1) 12:30pm – 5:00pm: Arnold’s Tea House (502 E Ohio St. 15212) Application drop off and last minute consultations.
  • Friday, July 7 (deadline day #2) 12:30pm – 5:00pm: Arnold’s Tea House (502 E Ohio St. 15212) Application drop off and last minute consultations.
  • Friday, August 4 (deadline day #3) 12:30pm – 5:00pm: Arnold’s Tea House (502 E Ohio St. 15212) Application drop off and last minute consultations.

The Sprout Fund, in partnership with The Buhl Foundation and One Northside, have been supporting small-scale neighborhood-level projects on the Northside since early 2014.  The imitative has supported 135 small projects and invested nearly $500,000 in Pittsburgh’s Northside neighborhoods.
