Aesthetic studio provides intimate climate for clients

The hustle and bustle of a beauty salon can be an element of attraction for some clients.  However, when Amanda Manol established Pearl Aesthetic Perfecting Studio, 410 Armandale St., that wasn’t the vibe she was going for.

“I provide an intimate environment where you can really step in and escape,” Manol said.

Manol said she has 20 years of professional skin care and nail experience, and to her knowledge she was the first person to do an authentic Brazilian Bikini Wax in Pittsburgh.

She created her business because after spending time in a variety of high end spas in the city and attending conventions, she saw a missing link between European skin care and medical skin care.

“I felt here was a really big gap for skin care and spa treatment and aesthetics, and I wanted to provide a place where that didn’t feel rushed and was also high quality,” Manol said.

Manol chose the Northside for her business because of its rich history, and how the architecture of the buildings in her neighborhood echo that of Brooklyn Brownstones mixed with Boston and New Orleans. She said her location has brought clients who have never visited “this end of town.”

“I love helping people and making them feel amazing about themselves,” Manol said.

Currently, Manol offers facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, makeup, and lash and brow services. Within the next year or two, Manol said she will be transitioning to a larger space to open a world class spa that will feature a steam room, infrared sauna, hydrotherapy, and more.

“It excites me,” Manol said. “It’s the matter of having the moxie to do it, and I have that in spades.”
Pearl is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., by appointment only. To book an appointment, text (412) 952-6026. More information can be found at www.pearlperfectingstudio.com.
