The Light of Life rescue mission  in Central Northside celebrated the holiday season by holding its annual coat drive and Christmas meal Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Mayor Bill Peduto briefly stopped by to lend a helping hand, serving hot meals to those in attendance.

Kevin Williams is a participant in the Light of Life program, and volunteers there.

“I love this program they take good care of those of us who are in the program,” Williams said. “This is not just a food pantry this place rescued me when I was in my time of need.”
