There’s a lot of good stuff happening this weekend in the Northside! Check out these two great events worth checking out.
What: Pumpkinfest
Where: East Allegheny Commons Park
When October 12 from 1-5 p.m.
For the 22nd year in a row, Pumpkinfest organizers promise that the annual fall festival will be “all things orange and all things pumpkin.” Pumpkinfest is a children’s festival that takes place in East Allegheny Commons that draws about 1,500 children and 4,500 people each year with fall-themed activities like hay rides, pony rides, inflatable bouncing slides and live music.More than 40 family service providers and community groups are also on site each year.Pumpkinfest will run from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. The event costs $5 per child, but adults get in for free. Sunday, October 13 will be the rain date.

Where: Woods Run Library in Brightwood
When October 13 at noon
Please join the Friends of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Woods Run for the 3rd Annual Taste of Brighton on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Woods Run (1201 Woods Run Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212). Doors open at 12:00pm with Steelers kickoff at 1:00pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Price includes soft drinks, beer (provided by Penn Brewery), and tailgate food.
