Public hearings for school board reapportionment

Find out and voice your concern or approval about which school board member will represent your neighborhood at the PPS reapportionment commission public hearings next Tuesday, October 9.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

AND

NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF

THE PITTSBURGH SCHOOL DISTRICT REAPPORTIONMENT COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that the Pittsburgh School District Reapportionment Commission will conduct public hearings and conduct its regular meetings to be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.in the Library of the Pittsburgh King K-8 School located at 50 Montgomery Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 and on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.in the Library of the Pittsburgh Brashear High School located at 590 Crane Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. The purpose of the public hearings is to review proposals for changes to the nine Pittsburgh School Board District boundaries based upon the 2010 Census and to accept comments and suggestions from the general public concerning the proposed changes.
