What: The Dark Knight Rises

Where: Carnegie Science Center
The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment of filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, will be showing at the Rangos Omnimax Theater from Friday, July 20 through Sunday, Aug. 19. Pittsburghers have been awaiting the release of the Warner Bros. movie since portions of it were filmed here last summer. The Dark Knight Rises is rated PG-13 and has a running time of two hours and 45 minutes. The cost for members of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh is $11 per ticket for all ages; $12 per ticket for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 412-237-3400.

What: How Much is Your Guitar Worth?
When: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Carnegie Science Center
Carl Grefenstette, founder of Pittsburgh Guitars based in the South Side, will provide free guitar appraisals from noon – 4 pm. On Saturday, join 94.5 3WS radio for a live remote from noon to 3 p.m. with lots of fun, music, and free give-aways. This event is free with admission.
Saturday, July 21
What: ArtLab
When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: The Mattress Factory
Twice a month, on the first and third Saturdays, visitors are invited to participate in a range of art-making activities that illuminate the creative process of in-residence artists. Projects and materials are developed to complement current and ongoing exhibitions. This program is free with museum admission and highly recommended for individuals or families with children of all ages.
