This weekend on the Northside: July 15-17

Friday and Saturday, July 15-16
What: Little Sisters of the Poor Rummage Sale
Where: 1028 Benton Ave.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Little Sisters are having a rummage sale of clothing, tons of furniture, household items, jewelry, books and assorted items. The sale starts Friday July 15 and ends with a bag sale on Saturday July 16. Everything must be sold. Hot dogs and snacks will also be available for purchase.

Sunday, July 17
What: Battle Divas
Where: Mullens Bar and Grill
When: 4 to8 p.m.
On Sunday afternoon, 25 local singers will compete to see who makes the best “diva” and who can raise the most money to help kids with orthopedic problems get the medical equipment they need. All funds raised at “Battle of the Divas” will benefit a free-care fund for kids treated in Allegheny General Hospital’s Department of Pediatric Orthopedics.  The event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on July 17 at Mullen’s Bar and Grill on the North Shore. Tickets are available at the door for $25.

Sunday, July 17
What: 4th annual Jehru M.Donaldson  Memorial for Lost Love Ones
Where: West Park (North Ave. and Federal St.)
When: Noon to 6 p.m.
P.R.O.M.I.S.E On the Move is holding their fourth annual Jehru M. Donaldson Memorial for Lost Loved Ones Picnic this Sunday to raise awareness of youth violence and remember those lost to it. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature food, speakers, artists, story tellers, entertainment and children’s activities.
