This weekend on the Northside: July 7-10

Friday, July 8
What: Roaring ‘20s Bash
Where: Allegheny Elks, Cedar Avenue
When: 8 p.m.
Local author and arts entrepreneur James A. Richards invites everyone to get their wiggle on for a great night of musical whoopee starring the Pittsburgh Banjo Club at the Roaring ‘20s Bash. The fundraiser is being held as the result of a serious theft Jim suffered. Admission is a suggested $10 at the door and will help Jim finance his many projects benefiting the region’s arts and entertainment community (although any amount will be welcome) as well as his general operations.

Saturday, July 9
What: Dora’s Pirate Adventure Theatrical Show
Where: Children’s Museum
When: 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.
See this hour-long live performance featuring all of the favorite characters from the Nickelodeon hit show including Dora, Diego, Boots, Swiper and more! You help Dora navigate a high seas adventure – read the map, sing, learn words and count – to navigate over Purple Mountain and Silly Singing Bridge, confront the Pirate Piggies and reach the treasure! Tickets are $20 and seats are limited. Call 412-322-5058 ext. 240 for more information.
