After successful seasons, both Old Allegheny Soccer's under-15 and under-12 teams lost by a single goal to their opponents at the city league championship on Sunday, Nov. 15.
Old Allegheny U-12 lost to YESAC 1-0, but the match remained scoreless well into the second half. Old Allegheny nearly scored several times, but both team's defenses played their best.
Old Allegheny U-15 nearly won their match. Player Scout Cheeks scored in the first half on a header. The lead held well into the second half when Elliott #1 scored with about two minutes left. A sudden death overtime resulted, and Elliot #1 scored again with two minutes remaining.
The two U-15 teams field competitive players. Old Allegheny U-15 beat Elliot #1 in the championship last year. Out of the last four matches, each team has one win and they've tied twice.
