Allegheny sixth grade essay winner Amirah Winston accepted her award from Elks drug awareness chairmen and the AGH Parntership coordinator in February.

Allegheny sixth grader Amirah Winston celebrated winning an anti-drug essay writing contest in February with the Allegheny Elks. The Elks voted her essay on why she chose to stay drug free to be the best from Allegheny Middle School before it went on the win the metropolitan district. Now, two months later, Amirah’s essay was voted the best in the state as well!
